Who are Christ.TV?

Christ.TV™ are a 100% free to access non-denominational Christian ministry focused on getting the life changing message of Jesus Christ out of the walls of the worlds' Christian Church buildings and putting it out *LIVE* onto the Internet (as it happens) - and then archiving the un-edited webcast to view/re-view 24/7 - 365.

Our vision is to spiritually feed people INSTANTLY (both via LIVE webcasts as well as recorded messages) wherever they are - anywhere in the world (regardless of where they are) via any device that will recieve it... From Smart Phones & Tablets, to Laptops and Desktops.

We serve the word of God ANYWHERE a person can get a broadband speed connection to the Internet... In the car, in the boat - in a plane, on a train, at the beach - in North Korea, China, Iran, Australia, America - in fact, ANYWHERE you can connect to any broadband speed Internet connection!

We believe that Television and Satelite (as a way of distributing the Gospel) is completely cost innefective as it only allows the Church to broadcast to a minority of the population - whereas the Internet reaches more people for a fraction of a fraction of the cost.


Our history:

The idea for Christ.TV™ was birthed in December, 2008 when founders, David & Tanya WOLVERTON were listening to a missionary friend who'd returned from the mission field expressing regret that they couldn't remain connected to their Church whilst overseas - and it got Tanya and David wondering if this could be done technically.

The first implimentation of this technology came at 7:30PM (CST) on the night of Wednesday - July 8, 2009 when they started LIVE webcasting their in-home fortnightly Discipleship Group that they had named Pine Lakes, CONNECT™. On Wednesday January 06, 2010 this in-home ministry changed from fortnightly webcasts to weekly - and on March 29, 2010 the miinistry changed from webcasting Wednesday nights to Monday nights where it has remained since.

Thanks to the ever expanding reach of Pine Lakes, CONNECT™, the vision of a simple Discipleship Group designed to re-connect people away from God expanded to creating Australia's first online Church. (Christ.TV™)

Towards that Goal, on May 25, 2010 we partnered with Gathering of the Generals. On June 20, 2010 we partnered with World Harvest Christian Centre and on Sunday the 19th of September, 2010 we partnered with Whyalla Family Worship Centre. On the 30th of September, 2010 we partnered with Providence - with many more partnerships about to be announced.

On Sunday the 27th of November, 2010 the internet domain http://www.inchrist.tv was purchased; at which time Pine Lakes, CONNECT™ returned to being a simple weekly webcast ministry rather then the umbrella covering it had been for all the partner ministries...

On 22 February, 2011, An application to register Christ.TV™ in South Australia as an Incorporated body was paid for and "Christ.TV Incorporated" was listed as A40914 on 25 February, 2011.

What do we believe, preach & teach?

Christ.TV™ believe that The Bible is God's Word. We believe that it is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. We believe that He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues which is the initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Finally, Christ.TV™ believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
